This animation was completed during Bradley University's 2020 24-Hour Animation Challenge. In this challenge, multiple teams of animators worked to create a finished animation in 24 hours. I worked on a team with 5 other people. The animations were judged by Pixar's Bill Wise, and our animation came in 1st place.
The inspiration for this project was noir detective films. We also wanted to keep the color palette simple to further the story. The thief in this story is colored in shades of gray, while detective is colored in black and white. These color choices were representative of the world views of both characters. Towards the end, the detective changes to shades of gray to demonstrate his shift in world views.
On this project, I created the animatic, completed the sound design, and compiled the final video for submission.
